1st EDITION
“Thank you, Let Me Italian You, for this magical trip to see the Northern Lights. Every minute of the journey — from the short, lazy rides to the long, rainy two-hour trip to the Blue Lake — was full of wonder! Every view you showed us looked like something out of a fairytale. The reindeer experience was something else — so interesting (especially those boots on top of other boots!). And the most unforgettable thing — that unbelievable “coincidence”: the very first day of the tour and such bright Northern Lights dancing in the sky. You turned the trip into an adventure.
Can’t wait for the next one!”

A journey through Finnish Lapland means entering a world of Arctic wilderness, endless snowy landscapes, silent forests, and authentic northern culture. It is a place where nature sets the rhythm of every experience, from frozen lakes to traditional local life.
Within this extraordinary setting, the Northern Lights add a magical touch to the Arctic sky, creating unforgettable moments in one of the most untouched regions of Europe.

Our base will be the city of Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland: almost totally destroyed during World War II, today it’s a modern city known for being the "official" home town of Santa Claus, and for viewing the Northern Lights.
Lapland is considered one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights. Its prime location, situated within the Northern Lights oval and north of the Arctic Circle, along with generally stable weather, makes it an ideal spot for witnessing this natural phenomenon.
2026 is expected to be the best year for viewing the Northern Lights. This is due to the solar maximum, the peak of the sun's 11-year cycle, which will result in increased solar activity and, consequently, more frequent and vibrant auroras.

DISCOVER LAPLAND is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote this magical natural phenomenon of Nothern Lights, through photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER LAPLAND wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

We won’t just be chasing the northern lights—during the daytime, we’ll also explore the beauty of Lapland and its surroundings, from scenic landscapes to local culture and Arctic nature.
The tour of the city are organized in collaboration with a professional local guide, who knows all the sights of Rovaniemi and will take you on a guided tour. Exactly, we are going to visit:

- Rovaniemi – The Gateway to Finnish Lapland
Rovaniemi is the capital of Finnish Lapland and a vibrant Arctic city located right on the edge of the Arctic Circle. Known as the official hometown of Santa Claus, it offers a unique blend of urban services and untouched Arctic nature. The city is surrounded by vast forests, rivers, and snowy landscapes that define the Lapland experience.
Despite its northern location, Rovaniemi is a lively hub with museums, cultural attractions, restaurants, and year-round activities that highlight local Sami heritage and Arctic lifestyle. Just outside the city, visitors can enjoy nature trails, reindeer experiences, and winter adventures in the surrounding wilderness.
Rovaniemi is also one of the best places in Finland to observe the Northern Lights. With its combination of accessibility, services, and immediate proximity to Arctic nature, it serves as the perfect gateway to authentic Lapland experiences while offering all the comforts of a modern and well-connected town.

- Pyhä-Luosto National Park – Arctic Nature and Ancient Landscapes
Pyhä-Luosto National Park is one of the most iconic national parks in Finnish Lapland, known for its ancient fells, deep forests, and peaceful Arctic scenery. It offers an easy way to experience the region’s untouched nature.
The park also features unique geological history and the famous amethyst-rich hills of Luosto, with accessible trails and viewpoints suitable for all visitors.

- Ranua Wildlife Park & Arctic Forest Experience – Arctic Nature and Wildlife
Ranua Wildlife Park offers a unique opportunity to observe Arctic animals in a natural forest environment, including polar bears, lynx, moose, and other northern species. The park is set within the surrounding boreal forest, providing an authentic glimpse into Lapland’s wildlife.
Combined with an Arctic forest experience, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the northern wilderness, surrounded by snow-covered trees and untouched landscapes. This experience highlights the true essence of Lapland, where wildlife and nature exist in harmony.
