After the great success of Krakow, Barcelona, Budapest, Sicily, Marrakech, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Prague, Athens, Santorini and Seville, Let me Italian you is proudly ready to launch the second and exclusive edition of DISCOVER VALENCIA. It will be a unique and exclusively edition for the all 2023!

Valencia is a dream city; beautiful and lively, but simple at the same time. In this Spanish city,you can find just about everything: immense beaches, lively nightlife, history, art and traditions, without forgetting the excellent cuisine. Valencia is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Its extraordinary sea and the charm of art and traditions make it a special place to visit at any time of the year.

DISCOVER VALENCIA is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magic city of Valencia, in Spain, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs and not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER VALENCIA wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

The two tours of the cities is organized in collaboration with Paloma, a professional local guide,who knows all the sights of Valencia and will take you on a guided tour .  Exactly:

1° Tour: Visit of Mercado Central + La Lonja de la Seda + The Cathedral + Plaza Redonda + Plaza de la Virgen + Plaza de la Almoina + Palacio de la Generalidad Valenciana + Torres de Serranos + Jardín del Turia - Parc Gulliver

2° Tour: Visit of Plaça de l'Ajuntament + Estacio de Valencia + Plaza de Toros de + Barrio del Eixample + Casa Ferrer + Mercado de Colón + Jardin del Turia + Porta de la Mar + Jardin del Parterre + L'antigua universidad de La Nau + La Plaza Patriarca + Museo Nacional de Cerámica   

Further, we will visit the most beautiful gem in Valencia: Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. If you come to València a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences is a must. Work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, several of its buildings have become icons in the city. It is a scientific and cultural leisure complex which can be enjoyed with family or friends, covering around two kilometres of the former riverbed of the River Turia.

Last but not least, we will have a wonderful "Urban Art Tour": Do you like art? Then Valencia is the right place for you! The city is full of different kind of art. Not only in a museum but in the streets as well!We will visit the barrio of Carmen and Velluters: Calle de Los Colores, Murales of Julieta xlf, PichiAvo, Barbi, Sr. Marmota, Deih, Dysneylexia, Luis Lonjedo, Raquel Rodrigo (Aquicostura).

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be several workshops :

1. Workshop "Landscape Photography" lead by the photographer Mariya Smolyakova
2. Workshop “Portrait Photography" lead by the photographer Susana Apraez
3. Outdoor Photo Shooting with local models in Jardines del Real - Jardines de Viveros

How is DISCOVER VALENCIA organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Valencia's beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners.

Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and the photos will be published by our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.
