Cecilia In my life I have always had an immense passion for photography, which I fed by attending schools and art academies. I currently work as a video-maker assistant and I'm specializing in video editing, but my aspiration is to travel, meet people, and tell their stories with images and words. Knowing and experiencing cultural diversity in the world is what makes me happy and I am even happier when I can do it with the camera. I've partecipated in Discover Budapest 2 and Discover Barcelona 5.

Adriana My name is Adriana; I am Italian and I come from Turin. I participated in Discover Krakow 5 last September,Discover Budapest 1 last March and Discover Sicily 3 last September. Paola Hi! I’m Paola , I’m 20 years old and I live in Rome. I study at the Academy of Fine Arts and I really love what I’m studying. I’m a little shy, but curious, I love to get to know new things. I feel insecure sometimes, but also determined to achieve the things I want. I've partecipated in Discover Barcelona 1 and Discover Krakow 7.I look forward leaving and living this new experience!

Annarosa My name is Annarosa, Anna for my friends. If I check my identity card I realize I am 41 but I feel the same energy and enthusiasm as when I was 25. I've been part also of Discover Barcelona 2 and Discover Si. My greatest passion is travelling: I always have a new destination in my mind, either seaside or big cities, I start getting excited since I am preparing my suitcase! I am fond of photography because I believe it is the most direct way to communicate my feelings and the emotions I get from the places I visit: I especially like landscapes both urban and natural, astrophotography and b/w shootings. As Giovanni Gastel said "I have always thought that Poetry and Photography have several things in common". My other interests are gastronomy, wine, reading, listening to music and diving.

Alessandro HI, my name is Alessandro. I'm 19 years old, I was born in Rome and i'm attending the academy of fine arts in Rome. I have a lot of passions such as photography, reading, but the greatest interest for me is cinema. I've partecipated in Discover Krakow 8. I hope I enjoy my stay in Marrakech.

Magda Hi all! I am Magda and nature photography, especially botanical photography, is my passion. I live in Poland near Warsaw and travel a lot to find best frames and most exciting landscapes: in Poland, in Ukraine, in Sweden, in Slovakia and in other countries. Now - it will be Sicily! And everywhere I go, paying a visit to the local botanical garden or arboretum are on highest prio, with my camera cocked and ready. In the meantime, I teach biology at the Faculty of Biology, Warsaw University. I've partecipated in Discover Sicily 2

Sara Hi, my name is Sara. I am an American, living and working in southern Italy for the past 24 years. I teach translation and writing at the University of Bari. In my free time I am passionate about weightlifting and photography. I've partecipated in Discover Budapest 1 .

Antonello Hi, my name is Antonello! I've partecipated in Discover Krakow 7 and Discover Barcelona 5. I was born in a small village in the province of Oristano in Sardinia in 1977. I begin to passionate about photography for 25 years with the first compact then with time to arrive at the reflection world and the first courses with affirmed photographers t World Level as Simone Sbaraglia, with whom I have courses of various levels. Lovers of landscape and naturalism but do not disdain all other photographic genres knowing that each of them is a source of personal comparison and improvement.

Izabela I am Izabela, 32, from Krakow, Poland. I work as a financial analyst. My hobby is travelling and photography. When travelling, I like to find new places, slow down the pace and enjoy the moments. I inherited my hobby from my dad and brother. I am an amateur, but I like to develop my artistic skills and stretch the possibilities of my camera. Waiting and searching for the best shot is my time to practise patience, focus and relax, it is also the time when I am present here and now.

Stefania Hello! My name is Stefania, I'm 49 years old, I'm an educational, training and career counselor, born and grew up in a mountain little town in Vicenza province (Northeast Italy) that I consider to be my Escape-room ... sometimes I need to get out. I love travelling and make new experience, knowing people and discover places. I always carry the camera with me, it is my third eye through which I capture the emotions the world arouses in me. I'm studing Public Relations and I love travelling, playing the piano and, obviously, photography. Since I was a child, I have been studied with passion old photos, magazines with yellow border and I have been tried to follow in the maestro’s footsteps. I do photos every day and everywhere. Katarzyna Hello, I'm Kasia and I’m from Krakow, Poland. Mobile photography is one of my other hobbies. I take photos with Samsung Galaxy J5. I'm interested in bnw, street photography. After the great successes of Krakow, Barcelona, Budapest and Sicily, Let me Italian you is ready to launch a new city for 2018: DISCOVER MARRAKECH.

"Welcome to the magical, mesmerizing and sometimes dizzying city of Marrakech! The city of joy! " It will be a unique and exclusively edition! (It means that there will not be a second edition.)

DISCOVER MARRAKECH is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magical and colorful city of Marrakech, in Morocco, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER MARRAKECH wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER MARRAKECH is supported by ÉSAV Marrakech ( L’École Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech).

The two tours of the city are organized in collaboration with Marrakech City Tour Guide, a private Marrakech tour operator with a local experienced qualified guide who is eager to share the secrets of his vibrant city with you. Exactly, it includes:

1° Tour: Koutoubia Mosque - Saadian Tombs - Bahia Palace - El Badi Palace

2° Tour: Visit Jeema El Fna - Medina ancient souks

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be four workshops and photoshooting:

Workshop "Collecting the city" lead by Isabel Val at the prestigious ÉSAV Marrakech ( L’École Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech)
Workshop "Street photography" organized by the famous photographer Yassine Alaoui Ismaili
Outdoor Photoshoot with local models sponsored by Julia Agency

Exclusively for this edition: "STREET PHOTOGRAPHY DAY". On Saturday 27th, you will have the honour to spend a full day with one of the most famous street photographer:Yassine Alaoui Ismaili. He will bring you around Marrakech and discover hidden tresaures. Yassine won the first places in World street photography Hamburg 2015, Les nuit photographique Essaouira 2016 and finalist LensCulture Street Photography Awards 2016 and Sans francisco Street photography 2017. His Work has been featured in NY Times, the National Geographic, FIFA, 6Mois, Stern,The guardian, Volkskrant.

Further, the photographer Isabel Val will support the participant during all the days of the projects. She will offer full time availability if someone has questions or need close attention. Isabel Val is one of our main partner for Discover Budapest.

How is DISCOVER MARRAKECH organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Marrakech's beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners: L’École Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech, Yassine Alaoui Ismaili, Isabel Val.

Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and the photos will be published by our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.
