Hello, my name is Albrecht and I'm from Stuttgart in the south of Germany. Taking part at Discover Budapest 3, Discover Paris 2 and Discover Santorini 3 was a really great experience, so I decided to renew this feeling. I am self-employed in trading with incurance-products and I have made photography as my passion to a part-time job since 2017.Taking pictures, especially creating them while looking through a viewfinder, is like meditation to me. I call it >Photo-Zen<.My favourit genres in photography are city + architecture but I also love experimental and composing-photography.And I'm glad to take part at several photo-exibitions, creating own vernissages and also could win some prices at some photo-competitions.So I'm excited to spend these days with you in Lisbon being shure, that we have a great time.
After the great success of the last seven editions, Let me Italian you is ready to launch the eighth and exclusive edition of DISCOVER LISBON.
"Light, say artists, is all important to creating a masterpiece. The azure sky over Lisbon, long hours of summer sunshine and golden sunsets are factors that ensure many visitors go home with fond memories and great photographs of the Portuguese capital. " Welcome to Lisbon: the City of Light.
DISCOVER LISBON is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.
The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magical and picturesque city of Lisbon, in Portugal, through photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER LISBON wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.
DISCOVER LISBON is supported by IADE-Universidade Europeia.
The two tours of the city are organized in collaboration with Rita the Guide, a professional local guide,who knows all the sights of Lisbon and will take you on a guided tour. Exactly:
1° Tour - Alfama: Alfama is one of the oldest districts in Europe and the former red light district of Lisbon. Surviving the great earthquake of 1755, Alfama is home to relics of the Arabic occupation in the 8th century, roman ruins and monuments regarding the foundation of Portugal 900 years ago! This maze-like little village inside the center of Lisbon will transport you to a simpler time where kids play on the streets, neighbors get together on a daily basis, doors are not locked and where the cars don't fit. Come wander these lost in time streets with a home made ginjinha, discover the birthplace of fado or just chat while drinking a portuguese glass of wine and tasting an amazing cheese platter. It includes: Cathedral of Lisbon - The castle of Lisbon - Labyrinth of old Alfama streets - History of Alfama - History of fado.
2° Tour - Downtown: With this tour you get to know the full history of Lisbon that originates as far as 3000 years ago, all the way up to the key events of XXI century Lisbon. We will see the highlights and the top attractions of its unique downtown area, the best viewpoints of the seven hills, talk about culture, literature and politics. The best way to understand the Portuguese people and the country's evolution, from its glorious past until today's Europe best well-kept secret. It includes: All downtown area - Best sightseeing points - Historical monuments, churches and ruins - Full Lisbon history.
3° Tour - Belem: Belem is the charming district to the west of Lisbon, and is the setting for many of the city’s most iconic tourist attractions. For visitors, Belem is one of the finest areas of Lisbon, and offers outstanding tourist attractions, informative museums and beautiful views along the Tejo Estuary. Belem is unlike the rest of Lisbon, being filled with parks, tree-lined plazas and green open spaces, and is a breath of fresh air from claustrophobic and chaotic central Lisbon. It includes: Degustation of Pastel de Belem at Fábrica Pastéis de Belém - Mosteiro dos Jeronimos - Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Torre de Belem.
In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be several workshops and photoshooting:
How is DISCOVER LISBON organized and what is its output?
The role of participant is to take photos of Lisbon's beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

10:00 – 12:00 Visit of Belem with Rita The Guide
12:00 – 12:30 Issue of Attendance certificates and Good bye
At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners.
Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and the photos will be published by our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.

Hey everyone! My name is Megi and I am Croatian but I've been living in Germany for the past 6 years. Photography has been my passion for many years now but so far it has only been a hobby of mine and not a profession. That's something I would like to change so I am very excited to participate in yet another project with Let me italian you. So far I've participated in Discover Seville 1, Discover Sicily 7, Discover Santorini 2, Discover Amsterdam 1 and lastly Discover Gran Canaria 2. Each of these projects helped me learn a lot about photography and make new friends from all around the world. That's why I'm excited to learn even more and to meet you all and make friends.

My adventure with photography began at a rather difficult moment in my life. Due to my daughter's serious illness, I was looking for a distraction to have time to clear my thoughts. I started by taking photos of flowers and nature in general with my phone, especially in the macro version. After some time, I found my photographic path and the direction in which I wanted to develop. I focus on natural photography of women without makeup to show them that their beauty lies within themselves. I attended the Callisto Piazza art high school in Lodi and subsequently I enrolled at the Italian photography institute to follow my true passion and transform it into a future job: photography. Hello, I'm Nicolò I'm 17 years old and I live in Italy, near Milan. I love all types of art: music, painting, sculture... but in particular photography. I take pictures for passion, but I always try to do better.
I prefer street and landscape photography, because you can tell stories of normal life and normal people, and you can admire the amazing landscape that Earth gift us.
I don't like monotony so I always try to do new experiences to go out of my confort zone and put me in the game.
