Martina Hi! I'm Martina. I'm 21 years old. I've also partecipated in Discover Barcelona 3. I live in Alba, a small town in the province of Cuneo. I study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cuneo in the department of Multimedia Arts. I love travelling and photography. It is a piece of my heart. I love every kind of photography.

Oleksandra Hello! My name is Oleksandra, or Sasha:) I am 28 years old. My native country is Ukraine. I'm fond of photography, ballet, and also I am an artist. Most of all I like to make photos of people - dancers, actors and performers.

Simon I was born and grew up in Switzerland in Zurich. I've had many passions but the latest is Streetfotography. Since I only do this since December 2016, my technical knowledge is not so far. I am always willing to learn new about photography. I love to walk with my camera through the streets and wait for special moments to shoot my picture. I am always happy to meet and exchange ideas.

Marta Hello! My name is Marta, I'm 25 years old and I live and work in Galicia (Spain). I studied Computer Science, and my two great hobbies are travelling and photography. I started very recently with photography, although I've always been attracted to art. I still have not defined my tastes in photography, but at the moment I have a special interest in portrait photography, nocturnal photography and animal photography. It's said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that's my main objective: that the photos speak for themselves.

Martina Hi there! My name is Martina, 23 years old, I’m Italian and I’m a Philosophy student. I love traveling and making new experiences. I like telling my adventures, people I meet and their life, places I visit and their secret beauty, by taking photos of them. In particular I prefer the dynamism of street photography and the intimacy of portrait photography.

My name is Stefania, I'm 49 years old, I'm an educational, training and career counselor, born and grew up in a mountain little town in Vicenza province (Northeast Italy) that I consider to be my Escape-room ... sometimes I need to get out. Alessandro HI, my name is Alessandro. I'm 19 years old, I was born in Rome and i'm attending the academy of fine arts in Rome. I have a lot of passions such as photography, reading, but the greatest interest for me is cinema. I hope I enjoy my stay in Krakow.

Matilde My name is Matilde and i love fine art portrait photography. My style is strange and i love use surreal colours in the post-production.

Nathanael My name is Nathanael, I am a French-South African photographer. I have a background in applied arts as well as imagery in movies. I am both fluent with digital and film according to the needs of the moment. Nowadays I am a student in photography (it's my last year) but I also do some jobs for hire. My major themes in photography are mainly geometry and lines, I tend to like the relation between a subject and it's environment. I practise BW and Colour differently having enjoyed lately coming back to BW after spending lots of time doing colour lately.

Aleksandra I'm Ola and I come from Poland. Photography is my great passion. I've been taking pictures since I remember. These are usually nature but also city and people photos. Recently, I've learnt how to take photographs in a professional studio. I'm keen on travelling, books, languages and yoga. I partecipated also in Discover Budapest I last March.

Corina I am Corinai, a 26 year old Romanian living in the United Kingdom. I have a technical and artsy side. I like all sorts of crafts, knitting, crocheting, watercolour painting, and of course, photography. I've been passionate about photography for 9 years. My higher goal is understanding myself through my art.

Konrad Hi! My name's Konrad. I'm 22 from north Poland. Photography student working like a media photojournalist. I love astrophotography, cinemagraph and pizza. ;) In free time I play drums in my rock band. I'm glad to enjoy with You "Discover Kraow" this year.

Edyta Born in 80 ‘ live in Poland I have two children. With my husband we have IT company. Photography is my passion, it gives me a lot of joy. I'm an amateur, enthusiast. I love my family, traveling, take photos, paint, observe, read and run - not at the same time. I partecipated also in Discover Barcelona III last February.

Marcha Hi! My name is Marcha and I am from the Netherlands, I am 31 years old and a self-taught amateur photographer. My favourite genre is nature like landscapes and macro, but being part of this project will improve my skills in other genres. Photography is like storytelling, mainly about the beautiful world we live in. I partecipated also in Discover Barcelona III last February.

After the great success of the last seven editions, Let me Italian you is ready to launch the summer edition 2017 of DISCOVER KRAKOW with some great unique news: read below to discover them!

Partners of DISCOVER KRAKOW

DISCOVER KRAKOW is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. It has involved 191 participants from 36 different nationalities and with more than 2500 photos taken. Besides the prestigious collaboration with National Geographic Poland.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the romantic and shining city of Krakow, in Poland, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER KRAKOW wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER KRAKOW is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.

The tour of Old Town is organized in collaboration with Małgorzata Kubas, a professional Polish guide,who knows all the sights of Krakow and will take you on a guided tour.. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the UNESCO World heritage site: Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be four workshops and photoshootings:

Workshop "Fashion photography" organized by the photographer Monika Mrozik
Workshop"Food Photography" organized by the ukranian photographer Dasha Veselovskaya
Workshop "Long expose in Landscape photography" at Krakus Mound lead by the photographer Michał Włoch
Outdoor Photo Shooting with "local models" organized by the polish photographer Paulina Krzyżak OR "Street Portrait" organized by the photographer Halina Sikora.

Exclusively for this edition: INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST! Photographers from all the world will compete to show with their pictures the beauty of Krakow.

On Saturday 15th of July, during an official event, the participants will show its 3 photos to a panel of experts composed by professional photographers. The panel of expert will elect 3 winners.

AWARDS, exclusively and only for this edition of 2017, the three winners will be able to choose between:

1° Free semester at Photography School offered by Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design

2° Discount 10% for a next DISCOVER photography project

The winners will also receive an official certificate signed by the panel of experts.

N.B.: It won’t be mandatory to accept the free semester . In order to participate to the contest 15€ to pay in loco.

How is DISCOVER KRAKOW - Summer Edition organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Krakow’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 5 days.

At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design, Monika Mrozik, Dasha Veselovskaya.

Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and one of the photos will be published by the Facebook page of Krakow, Krakow PL (150K followers), official page of Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and from our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.

Hi are Gemma! I'm an Italian artist living in Barcelona. Photography is part of my art, I participated in various photography courses and exhibitions. I love to go around with my photography machine and the music in my ears.

I'm Stefania, 34 years old, I live and work in Italy. Photography allows me to freeze pieces of life that otherwise would probably pass unknown, forgotten. I think that everything has a hidden soul, and when I take a picture of it, a tiny part of that soul remains there, forever.

I have never studied photography before until very recently with the Open University doing an online course. I have always enjoyed photography and looked forward to learning and discovering more.
