DISCOVER KRAKOW is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.
The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the romantic and shining city of Krakow, in Poland, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER KRAKOW wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the young photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.
DISCOVER KRAKOW is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.
The tour of Old Town is organized in collaboration with Małgorzata Kubas, a professional Polish guide, who has the role to let discover and know all the beauties of Cracow thanks guided tours. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the UNESCO World heritage site: Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.
In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be several workshops and photoshootings:
- Workshop "Portrait photography" organized by the famous Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design
- Fashion photography workshop" organized by Eliza Shabo at Milk Event & Photo Studio
- PhotoShooting organized by the polish photographer Paulina Krzyżak at Qubus Hotel; by the fashion designer Olga Lukianenko & photographer Lilit Muradyan
- PhotoShooting "Food Photography" organized by the polish photographer Dasha Veselovskaya or Photo Reportage of the body builder Karla Riznyk at Riznyk Street Workout School

Exclusively for this edition: Street Photography Contest. On Saturday 3th of December, each partecipant will have 2 hours to go around the city in order to make the best picture that represent the Christmas atmosphere in Krakow through Street Photography style! The winner of the contest will be elected during the official dinner. The award is a Fujifim Instax Mini 8. (price to partecipate is 5 € extra). Before the starting of the contest, there will be a meeting with the street photographer Jakub Romaniuk who will talk about Street Photography and will show its photos.
How is DISCOVER KRAKOW - Christmas Edition organized and what is its output?
The role of participant is to take photos of Krakow’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 5 days.

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design, Paulina Krzyżak, Eliza Shabo.
Plus, in order to make more visible the job done during the project, each participant will give 20 photos with his credits to Let me Italian you and then he will see one photo published on the official Facebook page of Krakow, Krakow PL (150K followers), official page of Istituto Italiano di Cultura,and from our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.
