After the great success of the first two editions, DISCOVER KRAKOW is ready to launch its first INTERNATIONAL CONTEST! Photographers from all the world will compete to show with their pictures the beauty of Krakow.
DISCOVER KRAKOW is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.
The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the romantic and shining city of Krakow, in Poland, trough photos, reportage, videos made by young photographers from different places of the world. DISCOVER KRAKOW wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the young photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.
DISCOVER KRAKOW is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.
The tour of Old Town is organized in collaboration with Kalina Tyrkiel, a Polish photographer, who has the role to let discover and know all the beauties of Cracow thanks guided tours. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of two UNESCO World heritage sites: Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps and the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be three workshops:
- Workshop "Portrait photography" organized by the famous Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design; it will last 3 hours.
- Workshop organized by the polish photographer Julita Pająk.
- Storytelling organized by the polish photographer Weronika Kosinska.
Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful, DISCOVER KRAKOW - International Contest wants to be the moment where you discover who you are meeting and facing young photographers from all the world.
How is DISCOVER KRAKOW - International Contest organized and what is its output?
The role of participant is to take photos of Krakow’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair: your fellow could be one your friend or another participant choosen by us. The project lasts 5 days. On Saturday, during the final event, you have to show your best 10 photos of Krakow. The winner will be elected by a panel of experts and will be prized by Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design with a free semester at Photography School. For second one classified a voucher for 2 person of Ritual Hammam at Hammam Szeherezada ( http://hammamszeherezada.pl/)

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design, Weronika Kosinska, Julita Pająk.
Plus, in order to make more visible the job done during the project, each participant will give 20 photos with his credits to Let me Italian you and then he will see one photo published on the official Facebook page of Krakow, Krakow PL (106K followers),and from our official Website & Instagram.
