DISCOVER KRAKOW is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. It has involved 250 participants from 36 different nationalities and with more than 3500 photos taken. Besides the prestigious collaboration with National Geographic Poland. The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the romantic and shining city of Krakow, in Poland, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER KRAKOW wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.
DISCOVER KRAKOW is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.
The tour of Old Town is organized in collaboration with Małgorzata Kubas, a professional Polish guide,who knows all the sights of Krakow and will take you on a guided tour. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the UNESCO World heritage site: Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.
In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be three workshops and photoshooting:
- Workshop "Long expose in Landscape photography" organized by Michał Włoch at Krakus Mound
- Lecture about "Landscape and Architecture Photography" run by Monika Mroczkowska, teacher at the famous Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design
- Workshop "Fashion photography" organized by the photographer Katarzyna Widmanska
- Workshop "Natural light photography" organized by the photographer Marta Sputo
- Workshop"Food Photography" organized by the photographer Adrianna Sołtys or Outdoor Shooting with local models organized by the photographer Aleksandra Dziadko
Exclusevely for this edition, we have the pleasure to have a special guest: the wonderful model Kasia Tręda.
How is DISCOVER KRAKOW - Spring Edition organized and what is its output?
The role of participant is to take photos of Krakow’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design, Katarzyna Widmanska, Marta Sputo, Adrianna Sołtys.
Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and one of the photos will be published by the Facebook page of Krakow, Krakow PL (224K followers), official page of Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and from our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.
