DISCOVER KRAKOW is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. It has involved 235 participants from 36 different nationalities and with more than 3000 photos taken. Besides the prestigious collaboration with National Geographic PolandRead the article clicking here.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the romantic and shining city of Krakow, in Poland, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER KRAKOW wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER KRAKOW is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.

The tour of Old Town is organized in collaboration with Mał​gorzata Kubas, a professional Polish guide,who knows all the sights of Krakow and will take you on a guided tour. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the UNESCO World heritage site: Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be three workshops and photoshooting:

  1. Lecture "Look at image through the eyes of a photographer" with the teacher Margaret Larmuth  at Cracow School of Art & Fashion Design
  2. Workshop "Long expose in Landscape photography" organized by Michał Włoch in the famous Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design
  3. Workshop "Fashion photography" organized by the photographer Katarzyna Widmanska
  4. Workshop "Natural light photography" organized by the photographer Marta Sputo
  5. Workshop"Food Photography" organized by the ukranian photographer Dasha Veselovskaya  or Outdoor Shooting with local models organized by the photographer Paulina Krzyżak


To celebrate the 2° anniversy and 10° edition of the project, we have the pleasure to have a special guest for this edition: the wonderful model Natalia Zając.


How is DISCOVER KRAKOW - Spring Edition organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Krakow’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, Cracow School Of Art and Fashion Design, Katarzyna Widmanska, Marta Sputo, Adrianna Sołtys.

Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and one of the photos will be published by the Facebook page of Krakow, Krakow PL (224K followers), official page of Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and from our official Flickr & Instagram (@letmeitalianyou) accounts.

I'm 23 year old from Estonia and I have found my passion in photography.In this November, my 5 prints were in Young Estonian Photographers exhibition(They choosed 20 talented photographers all together). I really like meeting new people and also I'm always into do  shoot in some new locations or new people.


My name is Maria. I bought my first Nikon F50 in ‘95, and never stopped from taking pictures around the world. Looking forward to visit Krakow and taking part to this project. It will be my first time with “Letmeitalianyou” ans it sounds great!

I am a photographer and a musician from Estonia. I have been working as a professional portrait and children photographer at the successful photo company Pildikompanii. Nowadays I work as a guitar player at the Helin-Mari Arder band and as a freelance photographer taking pictures of musicians and public events. Shooting wildlife and street scenes is my hobby. I helped organise and promote the first two editions of Dub Web Fest, a short form content festival from Dublin. I've been part of Discover Budapest II.

Hi, my name is Anett, I am a Hungarian photographer living in Ireland. Art has always been one of the most important things in my life, I have been drawing and painting since I can remember. I got into photography in 2013 when I moved from Hungary to Ireland and became a self-taught photographer. I edit my images in Photoshop to create dream-like scenes from my imagination. I often take self-portraits which for now became my "dairy", a very strong part of my work. I am very excited to be part of the Discover Krakow program and looking forward to meet everyone in March. 


Hi, I’m a sicilian girl, but I’ve lived in Rome for many years. I graduated recently in philosophy and I’m very interested in the connection between Decostructionist philosophy and photography; I would like to make a doctoral project about these subjects and I hope this experience can help me to achieve this goal!

I am Kirk. Traveling usually is a means to get to the end- the destination. For me, and for a long time already, the means has become the end. Chinese by birth, engineering by training, but having travelled, studied and lived in Asia, America and Europe in the past decade shows my true passion and has long made me an international citizen.
I am looking forward to sharpening my photo and video skills with the passionate crew and my peer participants at Let Me Italian You.
