After the great successes of the first edition, Let me Italian you is ready to launch the second and exclusive edition of DISCOVER ICELAND. It will be a unique and exclusively edition for this year!
Welcome to Iceland, where serenity reigns supreme: Iceland is known throughout the world for its beautiful and unspoilt nature. Iceland is a country of extreme contrasts and dramatic landscapes. Widely known as "the land of fire and ice". Abundant natural beauty is around every corner with unparalleled scenery unlike anywhere else.
Who hasn’t dreamt of visiting Iceland and its famous and beautiful landscapes?
We are going to unique scenarios: waterfalls, mountains, geyser, black beach and hot springs!
DISCOVER ICELAND is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.
The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magical island of Iceland, through photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs or not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER ICELAND wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.
The tours of the city are organized in collaboration with a professional photographer, who supports you to take the best photos of Iceland . Exactly, we are going to visit:
- Golden Circle Tour: the Golden Circle is the most famous of all scenic routes in Iceland and combines stunning landmarks and historically significant places! The Golden Circle consists of three equally stunning locations:
- Thingvellir National Park
- The Geysir Geothermal Area
- Gullfoss Waterfall
- Southern Iceland: on this tour we are going to discover three main spots:
- the Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country, with a width of 25 metres (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Seeing that the waterfall produces a lot of drizzle you will be able to see beautiful rainbows on sunny days.
- Reynisfjara Beach: with its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves, and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland’s black sand beaches. In 1991, National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on the planet.
- Viki Village: Vik is Iceland’s most southerly village and one of the most popularly photographed areas in the country. The peaceful seafront village sits along a dramatic stretch of coastline, quaintly poised between glacier topped mountains, rugged sea cliffs and black sand beaches.
- Sky Lagoon: "Where the Sea Meet the Sky". This high-end geothermal lagoon looked like a dream, edged in large gray rocks, steaming water falling off the edge of an infinity pool
Further, we will visit the most and important spots of the capital of Iceland: Reykjavík! Reykjavik is the northernmost capital in the world. Despite the fact that it is not as large as many other capitals, the city is thrumming with life. It has a very interesting art scene, as the many famous Icelandic bands and artists can testify. In addition, there are many superb museums and attractions you can visit. The city is colorful and the people welcoming.
Exclusevely for this edition, the photographer Alexandra Stan will support the participant during all the days of the projects. She will prepare daily photography activities and teach to you as much as she can. Alexandra Stan is one of our main partner for Discover Valencia and Discover Gran Canaria. Exclusevely for this edition, she will come from Spain to Iceland.
