Martina I'm 22 and I live in Rome. I partecipated in Discover Krakow 3 last year. I'm still looking for my own path, but at the moment photography is my only certainty.I wasn't looking for it and it wasn't looking for me,we just found each other.My every picture tell a story, an event,some life fragments.If today I am who I am,I ought it to photography.
Charles Worked as a wedding photographer for the past 3 years, now currently living and studying in Budapest in the fashion photography field. Started as a landscape photographer enthusiast and still landscape and travel are one of my favorite environments to photographs. Celia Hi! I'm Celia, from Zamora, Spain and now I'm living in Bologna, Italy. Photography for me is the jolt that moves my live, it's my passion. My first training approach was been at high school, following a analog photograph course, ever since I started looking the world out of the camera viewfinder. Some years after I pass to the digital format, forming and testing from my self. I'm graduated in Philosophy and thanks the aesthetic line, I analyse the imagine with a point of view more theoretical. I realised several photograph projects like urban exploration, food, cities or portrait. Actually I'm attending a Photography course at FotoImage in Bologna because I want to deepen the technical. I would like to devote oneself to this field full time, so I when I knew "Discover Budapest" I thought that would be the amazing experience, together people with the same passion in an international context and a big opportunity to improve several aspect of the photography.
Andreia Hello! My name is Andreia, i'm 23 years old and i'm from Porto, Portugal. I'm a psychology student with a growing passion for photography. I think i can recall the time i fell in love with photography, i was maybe 7 or 8 years old. It was on Christmas Eve and my parents gave me my first camera, i was a big fan of Barbie at the time! And the camera was from Barbie, i was so excited that the rest of the evening i was just taking photos of my family. And till this day i still have the photos! Eventually, my love for Barbie disappeared but the passion for photography grew stronger. Even though, only recently i started taking it more seriously. I have been going to expositions, institutes and recently i went to the centre of photography in Porto, where i got to know how the cameras work and how they evolved through the years. Its not only having an eye for taking pictures and framing it well. I lack the knowledge and that's why, i think this opportunity is incredible. I will be able to learn more, improve my skills and of course travel and meet other people with the same passion as me. Im thrilled to be part of this project and to know you all!

After the great success of the seven editions of Discover Krakow and four editions of Discover Barcelona,  Let me Italian you is proud to announce the second edition of DISCOVER BUDAPEST.

DISCOVER BUDAPEST is an innovative project with a purpose to make the participants have a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. 

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magic city of Budapest,Hungary, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers from different places of the world. DISCOVER BUDAPEST wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich their portfolio.

DISCOVER BUDAPEST is supported by Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest.

The tour of the Old Town is organized in collaboration with Sara Mosa, a professional photographer, who knows all the sights of Budapest and will take you on a guided tour. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the UNESCO World heritage site: the Jewish District (including Europe’s largest synagogue).

In order to improve the participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be four photo shootings:

  1. Workshop "How to Photograph Cities" lead by the Pulitzer winner photographer Tamás Révész  
  2. Workshop "Urban Photography" lead by the photographer Isabel Val 
  3. Workshop "Fashion Photography" lead by Adrienn Örkényi  in a professional studio
  4. Outdoor Shooting sponsored by Free Face Model Agency

 

How is DISCOVER Budapest organized and what is its output?

The role of the participant is to take photos of Budapest’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pairs (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

12:30 – 13:00  Issue of Attendance certificates and Good bye

 

At the end of the project, each participant shall receive an Attendance certificates signed by the Let me Italian you team and all its partners: Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest,Budapest Metropolitan University, Isabel Val,Adrienn Örkényi.

Plus, in order to bring more visibility to the work done during the project, each participant will submit 20 photos with their credits to Let me Italian you and one of the photos will be published by the Facebook page of Hungary Art & Architecture (32K followers), by Daily News Hungary (30K followers) and by Daily magyar (20K followers) plus from our official Instagram account @letmeitalianyou and Flickr account Let me Italian you.
