Camille If I had to choose a quote to describe my lifestyle, it would be "Don't shoot what it looks like, shoot what it feels like". I'm only an amateur photograph but I'm doing my best to catch the moment, to grasp the essence of the subject I'm photographing. I sincerely think that photography has so many things to tell and I'm just trying to learn how to speak with it.

Valentina Hi! I'm Valentina, I'm 30 years old and come from Reggio Calabria, south of Italy. For study reasons I've lived in different cities in the last years but I've still not find my place in the world so I'll probably change again. A month ago I took my second degree and now I'm finally a medical doctor. I love reading, travelling and taking photos both from my phone and my camera. I love details, sunsets and landscapes and i think every moment should be remembered forever so you can live it again whenever you want just looking at the photos you took. I'm so excited about this experience and can't wait to leave.

Alice I'm Alice and I'm always looking for the perfect sunset and sky's colors to catch with my camera. To me, happiness is drinking beer watching the sun going down over the sea, but travelling taught me that even the perspective of a square could give me that same feeling. Valeria Hi, my name is Valeria and I'm from Turin. I've always been in love with travel and the discover of the new places I've never been and maybe just seen on a photo. Due to different difficulties I've never been able to do this and now that I can I'm gonna catch the opportunity. I don't know where this passion came from, but I've found myself one day with this huge love in my heart, even if there's a difficult relationship between me and photography. Most of all I like to take portrait photos. I like how this can take out the true itself of a person, and I love my subjects to be real and sincere with myself and my camera.

THE PARTICIPANTS

After the great success of the first five editions, Let me Italian you is proudly ready to launch the sixth and exclusive edition of DISCOVER BARCELONA, with wonderful news! The first edition for the year 2018!

DISCOVER BARCELONA is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making. In the last five editions, it involved 120 participants from 23 different nationalities and more than 3000 photos taken. Beyond the prestigious collaboration with M'agrada Catalunya.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magic city of Barcelona, in Spain, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers (amateurs and not) from different places of the world. DISCOVER BARCELONA wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER BARCELONA is supported by Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya.

The tour of Barcelona is organized in collaboration with a professional guide, Yan Pekar, who has the role to let discover and know all the beauties of Barcelona thanks guided tours. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the most beautiful sites: Parc de Montjuïc, Placa de Espanya, Parc Guell, Barceloneta, Port Vell, Bunker del Carmen - Turó de la Rovira .

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be four workshops :

Workshop "Street Photography" organized by the famous Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya;
Workshop "Fashion Photography" organized by the photographer Julia Art Photography;
Workshop "Photography as an art of seeing beyond obvious" organized by the photographer Yan Pekar;
Outdoor Photo Shooting with local models, fashion designers, make-up artists in Parc de la Ciutadella

Exclusively for this edition: a practice low-light photography with tripods with Yan Pekar in order to learn how to take the best night pictures!

How is DISCOVER BARCELONA organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Barcelona’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners: Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya, Yan Pekar, Julia Art Photography.

Plus, in order to make more visible the job done during the project, each participant will give 20 photos with his credits to Let me Italian you and then he will see one photo published by M'agrada Catalunya (83K followers),and from our official Instagram account @letmeitalianyou and Flickr account Let me Italian you.

Further, Discover Barcelona is supported by Andrey Guest List, free guest list to the best night clubs of Barcelona.

I am a huge travel and food enthusiast. I'd love to improve my photography skills and am looking forward to do that together with other inspiring people.

Nature is my field of studies and my passion since I was a child; at first i started shooting to catch the beauty of it but recently, as I found that photography is the best way to know myself and express my view of life, started trying new styles so now I'm fond of b/w, macro, architecture, portrait and street photography.I love also drawing,swimming,reading and,obviously, traveling! I'm always looking for new adventures since every experience is a chance to discover beautiful places, meet new people and grow as a person.So let's go! "
