Donatella Hi! My name is Donatella and I'm from Italy. I'm 25 years old and I spend my time between studies and travels. Actually I live in France doing a civic service. I'm an amateur photographer and I use photography as storytelling. My camera and my diary always accompany me during my travels!

Marcha Hi! My name is Marcha and I am from the Netherlands, I am 31 years old and a self-taught amateur photographer. My favourite genre is nature like landscapes and macro, but being part of this project will improve my skills in other genres. Photography is like storytelling, mainly about the beautiful world we live in. I am looking forward being part of Discover Barcelona III.

Claudia Hi, I'm Claudia. I'm 23 and I study photography in Bologna, though I come from Puglia. I love travelling, learning languages and meeting new people. I chose Discover Barcelona as I think it will taught me a lot about travel photography and portraits, wich are my favourite kind of pictures. In addition, I fell in love with Spain two years ago. So, I'm excited about the idea of doing something I love in such an amazing country.

Anna I am Anna. I'm 21 years old. My talent to takes photo notice by my mum . When we were on our holidays in the mountains I took one photo by phone. It was pretty simply,but my mum said that I have to try to do more photos,because she think I have kind of talent. Like we know we have to listen our mums, 'cause they knows better what we have to do. So I started to interested in photography since 14 until forever!

Benedetta Hi, my name is Benedetta, I am 19 years old, alive in Sardinia. Photographer because it is my passion, and if in a future you/he/she could become a lavore a dream it would realize him for you.

Anna My name is Anna . I graduated in Economics and in French language. I am interested in photography from an early age. However, the birth of my daughter was the impulse to broaden the knowledge of photography. Since then, I completed digital photography course and among others I participated in workshops of newborn and children photography. I love portraits and reportage. At the beginning of 2016 I have joined Photographic Society in Zielona Gora (Zielonogórskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne). Each meeting among such great people gives me the motivation to do better and better pictures. This is my favourite pastime from daily responsibilities.

Alina Hi, my name Alina, born in Russia, Volgograd in 1985 ( work as photographer 10 years. Started with fashion magazines, make photo of everything, but prefer portrait and work in studio. Never studying photography, just through practice, and maybe 4 years of art school help me on this way. Last 7 years traveling, live in Thailand, Bali, London, Amsterdam, Spain. Now bassed in Spain, Tenerife. Best place in the world for me. Also Im yoga teacher. So, thats all.

Dominika Hi my name is Dominika 18 years old. I'm from Poland and I learning in Art School. I love painting, drawing and photography. I love to travel and find new inspiration.

Kamila Hi there! I am Polish lawyer, living in Wrocław and looking for colours in life. I love to travel and observe. Even though I am an amateur, photography to me is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. Photography is like a moment, which is a way of putting distance between myself and the rest of the world. It helps to remember and have great memories!

Katia My name is Katia, 20, Italian with a huge passion for languages and travels. I like observing what's around me and capturing those instants impossible to reproduce, 'cause beauty is everywhere.. We just need to look a bit closer. I'm looking forward to this adventure in Barcelona, can't wait to meet you all!

PARTICIPANTS

After the great success of the first edition and the sold-out of the second, Let me Italian you is proudly ready to launch the third edition of DISCOVER BARCELONA.

DISCOVER BARCELONA is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magic city of Barcelona, in Spain, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers from different places of the world. DISCOVER BARCELONA wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER BARCELONA is supported by Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya.

The tour of Barcelona is organized in collaboration with a professional guide who has the role to let discover and know all the beauties of Barcelona thanks guided tours. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the most beautiful sites: Gothich Quarter, Parc Guell, Barceloneta, Port Vell, Bunker del Carmen - Turó de la Rovira .

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be three workshops:

Workshop "Street Photography" organized by the famous Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya;
Workshop "Fashion Photography" organized by the photographer Baptiste Rutko with the models: Olivia Atkinson & Dayana Kubasowa . Make-up Artist: Mante Silva.
Workshop Meaningful photography - how to be "here and now organized by the photographer Yan Pekar.
Outdoor Photo Shooting with models.

Exclusively for this edition: a practice low-light photography with tripods with Yan Pekar in order to learn how to take the best night pictures!

How is DISCOVER BARCELONA organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Barcelona’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 4 days.

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners: Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya, Yan Pekar, Baptiste Rutko.

Plus, in order to make more visible the job done during the project, each participant will give 20 photos with his credits to Let me Italian you and then he will see one photo published by Barcelona Travel Magazine (150K followers),and from our official Instagram account @letmeitalianyou and Flickr account Let me Italian you.

Further, Discover Barcelona is supported by Andrey Guest List, free guest list to the best night clubs of Barcelona.
