Romane Romane is a self-taught photographer born in France in 1999. Naturally curious but reserved, the music and photography were her chosen means of expression ; even more when, a few years ago she stopped talking . Her art is strongly influenced by her life, her feelings and emotions and by her cultural interests.

Anastasiya My name is Anastasia. I'm from Russia. I like to travel, discover new places and to see the world through my camera. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who sees in a simple thing something that will look cool on the photo.

Gaia "Hello! I'm Gaia and I'm 19 years old! I come from Bergamo and I love acting and singing. I'm very curious and this is why i started my passion for photograpy: I began only for capture an image that I saw and after I realized that it's one of the powerful way to express myself and my feelings through the pictures.

Marie I'm Marie, a 28 year old Parisian who loves to travel and meet new people. I have been sharing my travel junky stories on my blog for over a year now and it's been wonderful! I love photography because it allows me to capture a moment I want to remember and to show people what I've seen, I still have a lot to learn and I am very excited to be part of this program.

Maria My name is Maria. I am twenty-seven years old . I am from Southern Italy. I live in the Apulia Region, in the city of Andria (BT) . I am a student of Bari University. I have blonde hair and green eyes. I am not too tall. I am nice , sociable and quite friendly person. I like listening music, playing sports and travelling. I love photography and art. I try to live my life ecologically.

Carmen As a child I was fascinated and curious about everything that surrounded me. Photography is a passion which I keep by my father. Photographer much, I try to "understand" the world, exploring all its facets. I'm not good to talk the words, I try to do it with photographs. I try to show the "presence-absence" of a reality often on the border, but not at the margin. Each photo has a meaning, are small, short, life histories of dreams.

Claudia Hi! I'm Claudia and I'm 19. I study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in the department of Multimedial and Technological Arts. I love art and photography since I was 14 and for these reasons I've decided to begin this course of study. I'm sociable and I like discover new people and new places in the world.

Paola Hi! I’m Paola Valli, I’m 20 years old and I live in Rome. I study at the Academy of Fine Arts and I really love what I’m studying. I’m a little shy, but curious, I love to get to know new things. I feel insecure sometimes, but also determined to achieve the things I want, that’s the reason I decided to apply to this project. I look forward leaving and living this new experience!

Anna Hi, my name is Anna and I'm 18. Photography helped me to express myself in the best way possible, it makes me feel ready to see the world and it keeps me openminded wherever I go. I find really difficult to write this few lines because I don't know what to say but "my photographs talk more about me than myself".

Maria My name is Maria, i was born in Belorussia, but live in Siberia now. I have few passions in my life, they are PHOTOGRAPHY, TRAVELLING AND ITALY. I m addicted to photography so i never leave my house without a camera ) I m in love with street photography and the magic of black/white.

Marco I'm Marco,28 years old from Siena.I love traveling, reading and eating and last but not least I love photography and I wish I could turn these passions into a real lifestyle.I love meeting new people and seeing new places, get in touch with different cultures. I hope that this project, this opportunity, can help me grow from a human point of view and allowing me to gaim experience and skills in the world of photography.

Giacomo Andrea Hi, i'm Giacomo. I'm 25 years old and i'm law graduate with a great passion for photography. I came from Caserta in Campania, Italy and i love photographing nature and spontaneous life's situation.

Cristina Hello My name Is Cristina from Venice I'am married and I have two children. I have two great passions travel and photography. Recently I found the time to approach to photography, and find out through @instagram I love nature but also the less crowded hidden corners of the my hometown.

Alessia Hello!My name is Alessia .I'm 19 years old. I live in a small town called Canale d'Alba near Cuneo.I'm attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin.I love photography in general,but in particular I prefer the editorial photography and the fashion one.I try to put a little piece of me in every picture i take and I would like to turn my passion into my future work!

Stefania I'm Stefania, i'm 30 years old and i live in a small town in Sardinia. In my spare time i like to go around for my beautiful island and photographer the beauty around me, mostly landscapes and views, to make known to other people my fantasy land.

Małgorzata I come from Poland. I live in Warsaw.In everyday life I am director of medical clinic. Photography is my passion. I am impressed about beautiful world. When I taking pictures I am trying to catch fleeting moments in a single frame. I'm mostly concentrated on the landscape photos. I'm founder Zielonogórskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne (Photographic Association).

Luca Hello, my name is Luca and I'm 22 years old. I would describe myself as very sociable and friendly, always keen to discover new things. I love to travel and I feel that taking pictures is the best way I know to express myself. I have decided to take part of this project because I like to challenge myself and I can't wait to start!

Alice I come from Bologna, but I love to consider myself as a citizen of the world. I’m deeply in love with life and all of the little things that make difference in it. I travel a lot, I’ve always did, especially with my mind, so I reach different places, destinations and cultures that always allows me to come back home as a different human. That’s why I started taking picture: to pay attention to all of the details that, in a sort of way, have changed me as a person.

Federica I live in Venice, but I was born and raised in Turin.I'm an architect and I love to travel and when I can't do this with my body,I do it with the mind watching images and listening to music, my other passion. I believe strongly in photography because it is creative, like architecture; capturing reality and making it her own, allowing each anima to dip fragments of itself in its creation. I can't wait to give a little of Federica to Barcelona and a bit of Barcelona to Federica.

Enkeleida My name is Enkeleida but everybody call me Leda since childhood. I'm originated from Albania and Montenegro (my mother is albanian and my father montenegrin). I have been living in Italy since I was 14 years old. At the beginning I've lived in Venice than I moved for one year in Spain and later on I decided to come back to Italy. Now I live in Rome where I work in luxury fashion. I'm graduated in Languages and International Communication.

Eleana Hi! my name is Eleana, I'm un Urban Planner, but now I work in Amazon. I'm not a photographer, but I LOVE look around me ...everything, and try to search the other side of things, the one that no one sees.....sometimes I find it!

Olivia I am an experimental photographer, film-maker, and visual artist from the American South that just relocated to Zamora, Spain. To me, photography is a time-capsule combining science/art, alchemy, story telling, and reality/perception all at the same time. I've always been fascinated with memory and imagination, and I get to play with both of those in my work, while constantly seeking out the beauty in the world around me.

PARTICIPANTS

After the great success of the five editions of Discover Krakow, Let me Italian you is proudly ready to launch the first edition of DISCOVER BARCELONA.

DISCOVER BARCELONA is an innovative project whose purpose is to make the participants live a professional experience for those who love photography and video making.

The main goal of the project is to valorise and promote the magic city of Barcelona, in Spain, trough photos, reportage, videos made by photographers from different places of the world. DISCOVER BARCELONA wants to enrich the professional and academic path of the young photographer, moreover it wants to enrich his portfolio.

DISCOVER BARCELONA is supported by Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya.

The tour of the center (Las Ramblas &Gothic Quarter) is organized in collaboration with Yan Pekar, a professional photographer, who has the role to let discover and know all the beauties of Barcelona thanks guided tours. Furthermore, agenda will be enriched with the visit of the most beautiful sites : Sagrada Familia (external), Casa Batllo (external), Parc de Montjuïc, Fuente, Parc Guell.

In order to improve participants’ professional and academic skills, there will be four photo shootings:

Workshop "Street Photography" organized by the famous Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya;
Workshop "Meaningful photography - how to be "here and now" organized by the photographer Yan Pekar;
PhotoShooting"Portrait Photography" organized by the photographer La Cristina from Barcelona,
Workshop"Fashion Photography" organized by the photographers Lluïsa Viladoms y Lluís Oliver.

How is DISCOVER Barcelona organized and what is its output?

The role of participant is to take photos of Barcelona’s beauties during each guided tours. You will work alone or in pair (your fellow could be one your friend). The project lasts 5 days.

At the end of the project, it will be released to each participant the Attendance certificates signed by Let me Italian you and all its partners: Institut D’Estudis fotografics de Catalunya, La Cristina, Yan Pekar, Lluïsa Viladoms y Lluís Oliver.

Plus, in order to make more visible the job done during the project, each participant will give 20 photos with his credits to Let me Italian you and then he will see one photo published by Barcelona Travel Magazine (150K followers),and from our official Instagram account @letmeitalianyou and Flickr account Let me Italian you.

Further, Discover Barcelona is supported by Andrey Guest List, free guest list to the best night clubs of Barcelona.
